Photometric, Spectroscopic and Imaging Analysis of V Cyg Nova Cygni In this thesis, we aimed to analysis the available photometric, spectroscopic and imaging data of V Cyg which shows a rare second maximum on the light curve after the explosion and investigate the results.

In the process for preparing this thesis, we investigated the nature of cataclysmic variables CVs and a group of this CVs classical novae CNwe made a detailed literature review of V Cyg classical nova and we reduced photometric, spectroscopic and imaging data by using IRAF, and uyvulamas magnitude and time data which aqcuired from photometric reduce used for period analysis by using DCDTF transform and finally we compared our results with literature Nasrolu, ; Kimeswenger et al.

In the results of this study, we conclude that it is needed of revised the classification system of V Cyg classical nova because of the second maxima on the light curve. Magnitude changes in our light curves which aqcuired from photometric data and line identifies and profile flux changes in our spectroscopic data are similar and compatible with literature Munari et al.

In consequence of the reduction and measurements of one night imaging data we can not reach the shell formation around the nova. This result uuygulamas with one of three studies about orbital period in the literature Nasrolu,but we conclude that orbital period must be determined again due to the incompatibility of the values given in the literature.

When the production of HOCl is not sufficiently controlled, this may give rise to adverse effects i. Polyphenolic compounds as scavengers of HOCl, could have potential therapeutic effects in diseases in which this oxidant a highly reactive oxidant produced by activated phagocytes plays a pathogenic role.

Flavonoids, simple phenolic acids are polyphenolic substances present in food plants and have been extensively studied for their scavenging acitivities various free radicals i.

Generally, although there are quite a number of methods in literature for the determination of HOCl scavenging activity, all these methods suffer from certain restrictions. For all these reasons, it is evaluated that buhzr methods for the measurement of HOCl scavenging activity applicable to polyphenolic compounds and their real mixtures need to be devised to eliminate the aforementioned restrictions and to fill in this literature gap.

In this regard, a new fluorometric HOCl scavenging activity assay was developed in this thesis. Resorcinol 1,3-dihydroxybenzene was selected as the probe molecule for the developed method. Although it has been reported in literature that resorcinol is a fluorescent molecule that can be chlorinated with HOCl, it is the first time in this thesis for resorcinol to be used as a probe for HOCl scavenging activity determination of polyphenolic compounds.

The fluorescence intensity of resorcinol is attenuated as a result of its reaction with HOCl. Resorcinol is fluorescent, but its chlorination products are not. The attenuated intensity of resorcinol fluorescence is dependent ssntrallar the HOCl scavenging activity of the tested compound as measured by competitive reaction kinetics equation.

The scavenging activities of polyphenolic compounds tested with santrzllar to the developed method decrease in the order: In the preparation of herbal tea samples for analysis, the method of microwave extraction was used, having distinct advantages of reduced cost and time and increased reproducibility over classical extraction teoriis such as soxhlet extraction, liquid-liquid extraction, column chromatography and preconcentration techniques.

In conclusion, a fluorometric method for more sensitive, simple and selective measurement of HOCl scavenging activity of antioxidants individually and in complex matrices compared to the existing methods in literature was developed.

The purpose of using of mercaptosuccinic acid-ceryum sulfate initiator system is to synthesize hydrogels at low temperatures. Swelling values and swelling equilibrium values of synthesized hydrogels in distilled water decreased with increase of the amount of crosslinker and with decrease of hydrophylic monomer content in hydrogel. Depending on time, the swelling behaviors of the synthesized hydrogels containing crosslinker and different amounts of ionic monomer were examined.

The kinetic rate parameters were determined from the obtained swelling data as depending on time. When swelling kinetics of hydrogels in distilled water were investigated, two types of difussion mechanisms were observed.

In this context, the aim of this study was to investigate the adsorption and adsorption mechanisms for removal of dyestuffs from aqueous solutions by the adsorbent produced from SBE. The adsorption of dyestuffs from aqueous solutions onto the adsorbent produced from SBE was studied as a function of time, intial concentration, pH and temperature. Data of kinetic studies were evaulated using Lagergren equation and constants of this equation for 5 dyestuffs were calculated.

Moreover constants of intraparticle diffusion for 5 dyestuffs were calculated.
