After having read the last letter Chris drives immediately to hospital to see Helen and his baby. Chris stands by her, but she ends the relationship, feeling its for his own good. This just adds to Chris’ list of problems of passing his exams, finding and talking to his ex-mother, and making his desions about college.
The plot is lovely and the characters are real. Nobody is Chris’ baby too, and so when Helen breaks their relationship saying, “I just need some time to figure everything out” he is furious.
