Lesions tend to resolve once the underlying cancer is treated. Eruptive seborrheic keratoses have been reported in numerous other clinical scenarios including in patients with erythroderma, pregnant patients, HIV-infected patients, and transplant patients.
However, the sudden eruption of seborrhoeic keratoses in young patients points to a paraneoplastic process and should prompt an investigation for a hidden cancer.
